Hi guys,
hope you had a great week. In this weeks recipe, I will show you how to make homemade granola bars. This recipe is so versatile and it can be made in any flavour of your choice because of the oatmeal. Hope you enjoy!

1½ cups old fashioned rolled oats
1 cup Quaker oatmeal of your choice
1/2  cup coarsely chopped almonds
1/4  cup unsalted butter
1/4  cup packed light brown sugar
1/3  cup honey
1/2  tsp vanilla extract
1/2  cup dried cranberries or raisins
3/4 cup deluxe treat mixt of your choice
Step 1
In a medium size bowl, mix Oats, oatmeal and almonds until well combined.
Step 2 
In a small size saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, vanille extract and honey. Stir occasionally on medium heat until the butter is melted and the sugar is completely dissolved.
Step 3 
Pour your butter mixture on top of your oats mixture. Mix until well combined. Let it cool for 5-7 minutes.
   Step 4
Add your cranberries (or raisins) and your nut mixture. Mix well with a wooden spoon until all is combined.
 Step 5
Transfer your mixture into a  10X10 square cake pan lined with parchment paper and evenly spread your oat mixture.
Step 6  
Firmly press down with a measuring cup or glass. (this will insure that your granula will not come apart once you cut it). Refrigerate for about 2 hours.
Step 7 
Remove the granola mixture from your cake pan.
Step 8  
Cut into rectangular pieces.
 Step 9
Wrap your granola bars individually with parchment paper and tie them with a cute string.
