Ingredients:
2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup of water
2/3 cup of clear corn syrup
food colouring of your choice
Step 1

In a medium size saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup and water.
 Step 2
Bring to a boil until it becomes light in yellow. 5-7 minutes
Step 3
If you want the glass to be coloured, you may add food colouring.
Step 4
Poor your caramel onto a baking sheet lined with wax paper or parchment paper. Make sure to spread the caramel on your sheet. (be very careful not to burn yourself)
Step 5
Cover with plastic wrap and let it set and cool on your counter for at least 2 hours. Do not put your baking sheet in the fridge because this will create grains in your product, therefore it will not be clear.
 Step 6

Once completely harden, lift and separate your piece from your wax or parchment paper. Drop it on your cookie sheet, this will break the caramel and create broken glass effect.

    1. High humidity can cause it not to set up as well as not cooking it long enough you want to get to the "hard ball" stage. Hard ball stage is when you drop a small bit of the mixture into a glass of cool water and it holds its shape like a ball when you take it out of the water.
